What happens to what you give.
Nothing you send us gets thrown away. Every ball is sorted by hand, and every dollar covers a specific, boring, necessary cost.
/ Balls still worth playing with
Balls with life left in them go to youth tennis programs, school teams, and community clinics that would otherwise buy new cans every season. A ball that has lost a little pressure is still perfect for a beginner learning to rally.
/ Balls that are done
Dead balls ship to RecycleBalls, our national recycling partner, where the felt is stripped and the rubber core is ground down and reused in equestrian footing, court surfaces, and playground material. That keeps them out of a landfill, where a single tennis ball takes roughly 400 years to break down. Read more on how it works.
/ A few odd ones out
Some balls come to us cracked open or soaked through. Those go to local dog shelters and rescues, who are always happy to take them. See the running totals on our impact page.
/ Where the money goes
We are student-run and nobody takes a salary. Donations pay for collection bins, prepaid UPS shipping labels, shipping boxes, and the $60 startup credit each new chapter leader unlocks after their first shipment. A $60 gift covers the startup credit for one new city.

Before you send anything.
Do the balls need to be clean or sorted?
No. Send them dirty, mixed, pressureless, or cracked. We sort everything by hand when it arrives, so there is nothing for you to prep.
What if I have fewer than 100 balls?
Still worth it. Small batches are easiest to combine with a nearby pickup, so message us and we will point you to the closest collection bin or a facility already collecting in your area.
I am not near Flower Mound. Can I still donate balls?
Yes. Facilities anywhere in the US can ship through our affiliate partner program, and if you run a court you can also list your facility so a student chapter can reach out when one opens near you.
Is my donation tax deductible?
Monetary donations run through our fiscal host, so you receive a receipt by email right after giving. If you need documentation for a company match, send us a message and we will get it to you.
